An Installation Angle Error Calibration Method in an Ultra-Short Baseline System Based on a Dual Transponder

چکیده

Abstract The installation error of an acoustic transceiver array is one the important sources in ultra-short baseline (USBL) system. In a USBL system with positioning accuracy 0.5%, angle 1° will lead to 1.7% times slant distance. this paper, dual transponder-based calibration method for proposed. First, errors induced by various angles are deduced and analysed using linear measurement seafloor targets. Then, iterative algorithm proposed that estimates rolling alignment error, pitching heading order. simulation experienced results show that, after three iterations, can converge quickly, all within 0.001° estimated values very close true values. horizontal caused be reduced nearly 75%. has good effectiveness robustness, greatly improve

The Three-Transponder Method: A Novel Method for Accurate Transponder RCS Calibration

Transponders (also known as polarimetric active radar calibrators or PARCs) are commonly used for radiometric calibration of synthetic aperture radars (SARs). Currently three methods for the determination of a transponder’s frequency-dependent radar cross section (RCS) are used in practice. These require either to measure disassembled transponder components, or a separate radiometric measuremen...

An improved collocation method based on deviation of the error for solving BBMB equation

In this paper, we improve b-spline collocation method for Benjamin-Bona-Mahony-Burgers (BBMB) by using defect correction principle. The exact finite difference scheme is used to find defect and the defect correction principle is used to improve collocation method. The method is tested on somemodel problems and the numerical results have been obtained and compared.

An Accurate Calibration Method Based on Velocity in a Rotational Inertial Navigation System

Rotation modulation is an effective method to enhance the accuracy of an inertial navigation system (INS) by modulating the gyroscope drifts and accelerometer bias errors into periodically varying components. The typical RINS drives the inertial measurement unit (IMU) rotation along the vertical axis and the horizontal sensors' errors are modulated, however, the azimuth angle error is closely r...
